Brahma Valley Founder President Honoured with Green Leadership Award at ICS 2025

Shri. Rajaram Pangavhane (Patil), Founder President of Brahma Valley Group of Institutions, was conferred the prestigious Green Leadership Award at the International Climate Summit (ICS) 2025 on 28th August at PHD House, New Delhi.


The award was presented to Mr. Patil “for his visionary leadership in building eco-conscious educational campuses where sustainability is lived every day.” Under his guidance, the Brahma Valley Group of Institutions has implemented large-scale tree plantation drives, campus greening projects, and community-oriented environmental initiatives. These efforts have instilled values of responsibility and green living among thousands of students and the wider Nashik community. 


The honour was jointly presented by Shri Rajneesh Kumar, Former Chairman & Managing Director, State Bank of India; Dr. D. K. Sarraf, Former Chairman & Managing Director, ONGC; Dr. J. P.Gupta, Chairman of the PHDCCI Environment Committee and International Climate Summit; and Dr. Ranjit Mehta, Secretary General and CEO, PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry. 


Significance of the Award the Green Leadership Award is one of the flagship recognitions of ICS, celebrating visionaries who drive the transition towards a greener, more sustainable future. By acknowledging leaders who combine innovation with social responsibility, the award underscores the urgent need for climate action through education, industry, and grassroots initiatives. 



For Nashik, this recognition is particularly significant, as it highlights how a local institution has set a national benchmark in sustainable education and community greening efforts, placing the city on the map of India’s climate leadership journey. 


Speaking after receiving the award, Mr. Rajaram Patil dedicated the honour to his students, faculty, and community members, remarking that “true education is incomplete without instilling respect for nature and responsibility for future generations.”
